1. Research for US Supreme Court Cases, Federal Circuit Court Cases, and Federal District Court Cases -- What does VersusLaw offer and how much does it cost? Whether you need decisions in famous United States Supreme Court cases, a summary of Federal District Court case law, or regular access to a variety of legal opinions and rulings from specific justices, VersusLaw’s three subscription plans are tailored specifically to meet your legal research requirements – it all depends on the source material you need access to. Each plan offers access to searchable case law and enables searching in the U.S. Supreme Court and other state and federal courts. See the Library Directories page for case law coverage details. The Standard Plan ($11.95/month) contains the vast majority of case law available on our site: court decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court cases, the Federal Circuit Court cases, all states’ appellate courts, as well as current court cases from selected Federal District Courts. When searching in any federal library, case law from the U.S. Supreme Court may also be searched. This plan also includes AdvanceLinks, an email alert program featuring links to the latest rulings on selected topics. In addition to the case law above, the Premium Plan ($19.95/month) offers access to additional state content such as statutes, court rules, state constitutions and administrative codes. Additionally, archive Federal District Court opinions are available. The major advantage with this plan, however, is access to the advanced search engine features, including V.Cite, which allows painless searching by citation in US Supreme Court cases as well as well as other courts’ cases. The Professional Plan ($34.95/month) builds on the previous two plans with the addition of access to searchable versions of the U.S. Code and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Also offered is access to a collection of specialty federal libraries such as U.S. Tax Court decisions, IRS Rulings, and Board of Immigration Appeals opinions.
