8. How do I search for words that may have alternative endings?

Use the * (asterisk) to bring up alternative endings for words. For example, if you’re looking for cases about drug tests, the search term “test*” used in a search will bring up the words: test, tests, tested, and testing. However, keep in mind that it can also bring up words that may be unrelated to your issue:

testify, testified, testifying, testimony
